Soccer Season Coming to a Close

Nearing the end of the soccer season, both the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams have winning records and are seeking a playoff berth.

The girls’ team has a total record of 16 wins, two losses and six ties. Right now the girls’ team is second with a district record of six wins, one loss and one tie. Wichita Falls is two games ahead of Aledo, but the girls’ team is still projected to make the playoffs.

The boys’ team have a total record of 11 wins, 10 loses and one tie. In district play, the boys’ team are in third with a record of three wins and five losses. The boys’ team can still make the playoffs, and their final two games are against Alvarado and Crowley, two teams that the boy’s team has already beaten this season.

The playoffs will start March 29 with the bi-district game for the girls’ team. If the boys’ team advances, the bi-district game will be between March 28-30.
