High School Hosts Annual Blood Drive

On Feb. 25, the high school held its fourth annual blood drive sponsored by Carter Blood Care.  Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) and students in the electrocardiogram (EKG) class were present during this event to bring the students to the blood drive and monitor them after their donations.

About forty units of blood were donated at the blood drive. For every unit, three lives can potentially be saved, indicating that around 120 lives could be saved due to the blood the high school donated. This blood is to be distributed throughout Fort Worth.

As this is an annual event, it will occur next year as well.
