Big Fish Review

After many long nights at the school, sewing costumes, painting sets, singing, perfecting, and running through endless acts, the show Big Fish had come to an end.

The curtains went up first on Jan. 26 and for a final time on Jan. 28 and the department was able to reveal what they had worked on since summer.

“Our first performance was beyond what we all expected,” junior Sierra White said, “It went smoothly and was a big hit with the community considering the line was out the door.”

The show was a full house every run and received a positive response from the school and community.

“The show was such a perfect fit for our community,” junior and Stage Manager, Gretchen Cobble, said, “and we loved the whole story filled with love, pain, reality checks, and dreams coming true.”

“Anyone who came really couldn’t regret it,” Cobble said, “A lot of people did not come just simply because they don’t enjoy musicals and though that’s understandable, Big Fish was really something different.”

Both cast and crew have worked extremely hard on the show and loved having the opportunity to perform for their community.

“Every scene was exciting and full of mini surprises that had people on the edge of their seats. I know that it sounds cliché but with the storyline that is Big Fish, it’s so true.” Cobble said, “I honestly think it’s one of the best and most successful shows Aledo has ever done.”
