How should I study for finals?
Finals are approaching quickly now that Thanksgiving break is over, and I know we are all silently crying. Here are a few tips to help make studying easier and make sure you ace your finals.
- Start studying early – The earlier you start the easier it will be to remember.
- Study in a group – This will help you pick up on good study habits from other people in the group.
- Set a goal – This helps you be realistic with your grade expectations.
- Organize – When you are more organized, you are more productive.
- Make a plan – Make a plan of the subjects you’re going to study and how long you will study each time.
- Take breaks – Studying is hard and taking breaks helps you refocus.
- Eat snacks – If you’re hungry and you’re stomach is growling, it is going to be hard to focus.
- Sleep – If you are tired you won’t be focused, will have a hard time remembering what you studied, and will be more stressed.
Lastly, don’t get frustrated and blow off your finals because you already have a decent grade. You will need a great GPA to get into the college of your dreams and every point counts. Also, learning to study correctly for tests will help you prepare for the many tests and finals you will be taking in college.
