Out of 255 5A bands, the Bearcat Regiment placed eighth overall in the State UIL competition on Nov. 8 in the Alamodome in San Antonio. “Garden of Glass was an amazing experience,” Band Director Jake Albin wrote on his Facebook post moments after the band performed. “Our students are amazing and we are so proud of everything they have accomplished.” Garden of Glass was the name of the band’s marching show this year.

The band had also just competed in another competition in San Antonio the weekend before. “The Bands of America Super Regional in San Antonio was an incredible experience this past weekend,” Head Band Director Joey Paul posted. “The Regiment earned a division one and earned their second highest score at this Super Regional with an amazing 58 Bands competing.”

Marching season will continue while the Bearcats continue to play in post season playoff games.
