One Stroke at a Time

In a span of 4 weeks, Hope Sims has spent around 40 hours completing her latest masterpiece. The theme of this piece was a rodeo project. “Most people think Western, but I thought color and relationships,” sophomore Hope Sims said. “So I decided to create a layered brush stroke and extremely colorful portrait. I like the sense of togetherness and independence that these figures have. It was a very difficult journey, but I had so much fun creating them.” After completing this project, she sat and observed her beautiful artwork. This is only one of the many pieces of art Hope plans to create this year. Art students are preparing pieces for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, which begins in January.
