Candy, Candy, Candy

Pictured in the image are freshman Zoe Sweany and junior Alexa Martin, who both sat on the Bearcadets’ float at the Homecoming Parade. The Bearcadets got dressed up in their Men in Black-themed getup for the parade. Some could not resist snacking on some of the candy that was meant to be thrown. When the parade began to move, many floats threw candy at watching families whose children then raced to gather as many sweets as possible. After all of the treats had been tossed and collected, everyone gathered in the stadium for a pep rally. The parade wound around the high school parking lot and culminated in the stadium, where a pep rally commenced soon after. The Bearcadets enjoyed spending time with their teammates and the community. “The parade is full of excitement and a great way for the town to get together and celebrate something. We have a lot of fun interacting with the kids,” Martin said.
