In late July, the High Steppin’ Bearcadets went to Marching Auxiliaries Camp in San Antonio. Team members Emma Nelson, Allison Turner, Cameron Perry, Delina Santos, Madeline Searcha, Taylor Yates, Grayson Keenum, Alexa Martin, and Elise Poling made the four hour odyssey to San Antonio from Aledo in the early morning. Once they arrived, they traveled to the Riverwalk as a team and ate great Mexican food. They learned dances alongside more than two dozen other teams across Texas during the camp. “It was really exciting seeing how the teams work and how they did things to make the team better,” Grayson Keenum said. Several girls received a white ribbon during the camp, inviting them to dance in Florida.
