Leading Ladies Take Part in Meals From the Heart
The ninth grade chapter of Leading Ladies is going to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House as part of the Meals From the Heart organization on May 4.
The Ronald McDonald house provides a place for families to stay when their child is sick and in the hospital for little to no cost. As their first volunteer project for the second semester, they will be serving dinner for the residents. Those who are volunteering will leave directly after school to prepare and serve the dinner while getting to know the families who are staying there.
“It’s a good way to get out in the community and serve,” said president Maitlynn Mitchell. “Which is really what Leading Ladies is for.”
