Galentine’s Day
Leading Ladies celebrate Valentine’s with fundraisers and parties
The high school Leading Ladies will celebrate Valentine’s Day by hosting a party with McAnally’s Lil’ Ladies and by continuing the tradition of selling carnations to be given to one’s friends or significant other.
The party with the Lil’ Ladies will be today, Feb. 7, from 6-8 p.m. in the DLC. High school Ladies should arrive early at 5:45 p.m. to help prepare for the younger girls. There will be pancakes for attendees, so members of the Leading Ladies are encouraged to bring additional food, toppings and drinks.
They will also be hosting a fundraiser the week of Valentine’s Day. Leading Ladies will be selling carnations to raise money for their program. These will be sold at a table by the cafeteria during lunch and FLEX next week.
Other groups will also be doing Valentine’s activities. Newspaper will be allowing “Valengrams” to be submitted on Monday and Tuesday to be published in the online newspaper, and Aledo Players will continue their traditions of selling and delivering “Singing Valengrams.”
