This season, the AHS band made an impressive journey to the state competition in which the percussion section placed first overall. This achievement earned them the honor of attending and performing at the percussion convention in Indianapolis.
“I feel like percussion practices a lot as a section, so we really get to listen to each other, and it’s a lot of internal communication that I feel like the rest of the band doesn’t always have being so spread out on the field,” junior Rhiannon Moses said.
The band’s achievements this season are commendable, and their dedication and hard work have earned them recognition on a prestigious stage.
