Volleyball Advances to Playoffs

Varsity volleyball celebrates at their game on Oct. 26 against Wichita Falls.

The varsity volleyball team played their final district game on Tuesday, Oct. 26 against Wichita Falls. They won 3-0, allowing them to advance into the playoffs. 

The score of the first set was 25-4, the second was 25-12, and the third was 25-15.

“I would say that this past season has been one that I will never forget and cherish forever, and I can’t thank these girls and coaches enough for making my senior year an amazing experience,” senior setter Mattie Gantt said. 

The team was 25-14 overall this season. They are district champions, with nine wins and one loss in their district games. 

“This season has been really great for our team. We have all worked together and played hard for our season so far. We are all ready for the playoffs and can’t wait to see how it goes,” junior Mia Little said. 

They played their first playoff game on Friday, Oct. 29 against Boswell. The Bearcats took the win with a final score of 3-1. 

The next game is today at 6:30 p.m. against Birdville at Keller Central High School.
