Bearcat Football Victorious in Game Two

Last night, the Bearcats 45-35 victory against Lone Star was in Frisco at the Toyota Stadium. It was the Bearcats second game of the season.

“We knew they were a good team and if we didn’t play well the outcome wasn’t going to be good so we went in determined to play our best,” varsity CB and RB senior Sammy Steffe, #26, said. “I expect that we will win 11 if we do what we can do and what’s expected of us from our coaches and community.”

The Bearcats are hopeful for a successful season and believe if they play the way they know they can, they can win 11 state championships.

“I think before the game everyone was definitely the most locked in they’ve been since we started. We were favored to lose so that made it a lot more fun to start with that chip on our shoulder,” varsity FB senior Jacob DeLeon, #21, said.

Varsity running back senior Ryan Williams, #5, scored the first touchdown of the game and continued to do well throughout the game.

“If I had to choose an MVP it would have to be Ryan Williams. He gave the whole Aledo section hope when he returned the opening kickoff and he never stopped playing,” Steffe said.

“Ryan put us ahead and finished them off with the first and last touchdowns,” DeLeon said.

Varsity running back senior Ryan Williams, #5, scored the winning touchdown for the Bearcats with one minute left on the clock as well.

The next game will be Friday, Sept. 10 will be against Arlington Heights at 7 p.m. at our home stadium.
