In honor of Red Ribbon Week, Student Council hosted a pumpkin decorating contest through second period classes this week. Students and staff can now vote for their favorite pumpkin outside of the counseling office.

Overall there are 29 pumpkins featuring classic Halloween designs like skeletons and mummies and even superheroes like Wonder Woman. The theme of Red Ribbon Week was Be Brave. Be Happy. Be Drug Free.

The winning pumpkin was “Gumball” submitted by Mrs. Willems’ class with 40.5% of votes and will receive a Chick-Fil-A breakfast as their prize. The second place winner was “Pumpkin Skull” by Mr. Dassinger’s class with 13.3% of votes. “Wonder Woman” by Mrs. Smith’s class won third place with 7.3% of votes.
