Choir Pre-UIL Concert

Choir hosted their annual Pre-UIL Concert on March 25 at 7 p.m. With their festival on Saturday, this provided an opportunity for the choir to sing through their songs in front of an audience before they show them off for a judge.

The songs they will be competing with at UIL this year are: “All That Hath Life & Breath Praise Ye the Lord!” by René Clausen, “Gloria In Excelsis” by Eduardo Lakschevitz and “You Are My Music,” with music by Laura Farnell.

Two songs have solo pieces in them and senior Danielle Harrington and freshman Ellie Conlan are performing them. Conlan was given the solo only four days before the concert and was not expecting it.

“Getting a solo in a UIL piece as a freshman is very intimidating and slightly terrifying, but I know it will turn out to be a great learning experience and it will help me grow as a singer,” Ellie Conlan said.
