As the new softball season begins, senior pitcher Taylor McKeen continues to strengthen her skills in preparation for her future on the Tarleton State softball team.
“I’ve been playing softball for 15 years now,” McKeen said. “I went [to Tarleton] for my first camp in the summer of eighth grade. I kept going to camp, and they offered me. They were just really welcoming there, like you’re not intimidated by them, like you want to talk to them.”
McKeen said her pitching coach went to Tarleton, and she introduced McKeen to the coaching staff, and after spending three years on varsity, McKeen said she is excited for what is to come after her season season.
The Lady Cats district season begins Tuesday, March 4, away against the Fort Worth Brewer Bears.
