To create a safe and expressive environment for students, librarian Jessica Claffey hosted bracelet-making in the Maker-Space during FLEX Dec. 10 to help others promote individuality.
“Part of the idea behind the makers-space is to help the students think creatively,” Claffey said. “It’s to prompt creativity and also to promote relaxation in the middle of the school day.”
Students said they think the Makers-Space is a good environment for them to express their creativity and make things for each other.
“I’m making bracelets for anyone who shows up,” sophomore Cole Sutterfield said. “I mean especially with the bracelets it’s a good way to express my creativity.”
The makers-space also helps people express themselves and help them grow as people.
“I express my desires and my hardships,” sophomore Reilly Dyson said. “I express everything about myself as a person.”
