While campus programs are often funded through the district, the theater program goes an extra step to organize local events for their funding.
Staff and students spend after school hours to plan and put together these events for our local community, as this money ultimately makes tickets cheaper and provides rights to show production.
“We have two main fundraisers, and we also raise money through our shows,” theater junior Curt Vermillion said. “In the fall we have the Haunted House, and the other one is the singing valentines which is in the winter. It helps our tickets be cheaper for our shows, helps us get scripts, helps us get rights to shows, just any resources the theater department may need.
Students are prepared for upcoming productions, and they are beginning to organize the next fundraising event to bring them along in their show season.
