Siddons Named Valedictorian

Siddons honors her tennis coach Coach McCoy at the Top 10% Banquet.

Aledo is widely known for its competitiveness when it comes to, not only sports, but academics alike. With 475 students in a graduating class, being number one takes grit.

Senior Katie Siddons shared her reaction to graduating in the top of the class of 2022.

“It definitely does not feel real at all,” Siddons said.

With such a work load, one may wonder how someone can balance everything and still enjoy the high school experience.

“It has definitely been crazy trying to balance everything,” Siddons said, “but at the same time so fulfilling getting to participate in everything.”

Siddons was involved in not one, not two, but six organizations at Aledo. She served as a part of Student Council, NHS, Environmental Club, class representatives, Aledo Ambassadors and the varsity tennis team. She is also the valedictorian for the senior class at Aledo.

“Honestly, it has been such a cool accomplishment to have and such an honor as well,” Siddons said.
