Cross Country Team Succeeds in “Race for the Loot”
The Aledo cross country teams competed Friday, Oct. 1 at the Granbury “Race for the Loot” Cross Country Invitational.
“Everyone competed very well, considering the wet conditions,” cross country coach Michael Pinkerton said.
The varsity boys placed first in the race. Sophomore Vincent Luffey placed seventh among all varsity boys. Senior Bryceson Boss placed second and Senior Isaac Hernandez placed first.
The junior varsity boys team placed second with Senior Maverick Savage placing tenth. Senior Marcus Eaton placed third among other junior varsity boys.
The varsity girls placed eighth in the competition while the junior varsity girls placed third among other junior varsity girl athletes with Senior Arwen Wise placing eighth.
The next cross country meet will be the District Cross Country Meet on Oct. 15 in Central Park in White Settlement.
