On Oct. 2, the varsity football team will play the Lone Star Rangers at home at 7:30 p.m.

Last week the Bearcats played the Weatherford Kangaroos at Globe Life Park. The Bearcats won 70-7, and first time starting quarterback Brant Hayden threw for three touchdown passes and ran for eight yards.

Last year Lone Star went undefeated in the regular season, and lost to Ryan High School in the semi-finals of the 5A D1 State competition. Last week Lone Star lost 34-31 against North Forney.

Next week, the Bearcats will have their bye week. The Bearcats resume their season Oct. 16 against University Waco High School.
